Our Girl

Techniques

Techniques used in 'Our Girls' are used because its a drama so its quite an intense programme. It uses the following techniques.
  • Low-key lighting - which creates mystery and tension, makes you feel unsafe.
  • Non diegetic - this also creates tension and they've use really eerie and scary music.
  • Enigma codes - the fact that someone is sneaking around and trying to break into someones house makes you ask questions. like, who is he? whats he doing? why is he doing it?
  • Crane shots - follows where he is going as he is climbing.
  • Eye level - so you can see everything you need to, makes you feel more apart of the programme.

I made most of the background white to make it look professional.

I added a title to signify whammy magazine was about.

And I added coverless to give information.

This is an advert for a perfume by Estee Lauder, in the advert they use quite a lot of connotations towards gender. Its a woman's perfume, so they include quite a lot of things that women would find attractive, for example the rose's and how they've used a female model that is quite big in the media, a lot of women aspire to be her.
The perfume is called 'Modern Muse Le Rouge' which part of obviously means red in french, but to follow up this fact they have included quite a few things that are the colour red in the advert.
The advert is quite dark over all making it feel quite dangerous and powerful, this links to the fact that the slogan is 'Be daring, be an inspiration' which also links to the fact that there are a lot of connotations with the colour red and how it is 'dangerous'. The fact the advert looks powerful makes Kendall seem quite intense yet seductive, she's also wearing a suit which gives connotations towards power and makes her seem important, yet still feminine and desirable.
